Conversations for Impact: The Way We Learn

Conversations for Impact: The Way We Learn
Tuesday, March 6, 2018, 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM

The Way We Learn

Join us on March 6 for lunch and The Way We Learn, a closer look at how Gateway teachers empower our students as thinkers, to grow as learners, and become successful students and young adults.

One thing that is consistent across all classrooms, schools and, workplaces, is that those who are most successful and fulfilled possess more than content or job-related skills. Truly successful individuals have an important mix of habits, self perceptions and attributes, and interpersonal skills that enable them to conquer new tasks, persist when they are challenged, and help themselves and those around them reach their potential.

You will hear from a panel of Gateway teachers and thought leaders on how the way we - adults and students - learn impacts our future successes. This event is free and will be held in the Gateway Impact Lab at Gateway High School. Lunch will be served.

Gateway to the Future

Join us on March 21 for happy hour in our Impact Lab as we delve into what it takes to run a successful public charter school and Gateway’s commitment to making change for San Francisco’s students.

Meet Gateway’s school leaders and teachers as you learn how Gateway’s unique and forward-thinking model supports and empowers a student body made up of 75% students of color and 40% first-generation college attendees.

We look forward to sharing a drink with you and how you can get involved at Gateway to make a difference in the lives of young people. This event is free and will be held in the Gateway Impact Lab at Gateway High School. Wine, beer and hors d'oeuvres will be served.
