Our Story

Our Story

Gateway Middle School was opened in 2011 to expand Gateway's reach and impact on students during their formative Middle School years. Gateway Middle School embraces the unique needs of middle school students and supports diverse learners to succeed within a rigorous, college-preparatory program. Gateway believes that students learn best when they are known well and feel a sense of belonging; when they understand how they learn and feel that their individual learning needs are supported and respected; when they are challenged to think critically; and when they actively participate in the school community.

The Griffins' Annual Read-a-Thon

Our seventh annual Read-a-Thon is a fundraiser to benefit Gateway Middle School. The Read-a-Thon supports our culture of reading and raises funds for our school. This year's theme is True Stories (nonfiction). In addition to current students, family members, friends, teachers, staff, and other adults are invited to participate in the Read-a-Thon.
