Jerrina Alverio (she/her)

Jerrina is a Gateway alumna who graduated with the “Respect for Differences” Award in 2011. After living in Humboldt, CA for ten years where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Rangeland Resource Science with an emphasis in Wildland Soils from CSU Humboldt, her passion for the outdoors has translated into the classroom. She is in the process of getting her Masters in Education and is excited to start this new, classroom-based role at Gateway, which felt like home during her teen years. You may also catch her in the gym in her new role as head coach for the girl’s varsity basketball team. As a former athlete at Gateway, making memories with a new generation of girls has been fulfilling and fun.
