Annual Read-a-Thon

About the Read-a-Thon

Our seventh annual Read-a-Thon is a fundraiser to benefit Gateway Middle School. The Read-a-Thon supports our culture of reading and raises funds for our school. This year's theme is Literacy is Power. Wakanda!

Each year, Gateway must raise significant dollars to reach a balanced budget. In fiscal year 2017-2018, Gateway Public Schools needs to fundraise about $3,000 per student or $1.6 million to fund the gap between what we receive from the state and what it costs to run our programs.

Our fundraising goal for the 2018 Read-a-Thon is $10,000.
