Gateway Middle School was opened in 2011 to expand Gateway's reach and impact on students during their formative Middle School years. Gateway Middle School embraces the unique needs of middle school students and supports diverse learners to succeed within a rigorous, college-preparatory program. Gateway believes that students learn best when they are known well and feel a sense of belonging; when they understand how they learn and feel that their individual learning needs are supported and respected; when they are challenged to think critically; and when they actively participate in the school community.
