After four years of promoting the amazing work of our schools, our Communications Director, Megan Orciari, is leaving Gateway and moving on to her next adventure. We are thankful for her dedication, commitment, and all of the creative ways she has helped define the best things about our school community.
While we are sad to see Megan go, we are excited to welcome our new Communications Manager, Danielle Smith. Danielle began her career as an education reporter before moving into the classroom as an English and creative writing teacher in Charlotte, North Carolina. For the past five years she has served public schools as a communications professional and most recently led communications for the successful campaign to elect San Benito County’s youngest and first Latinx judge to the superior court. A first-generation college graduate, Danielle has a B.A. in English from UC Berkeley and loves Stephen King, Steven Universe, and Captain Steve Rogers.
