Gateway Public School’s motto, “Measuring success one student at a time,” is more than just a tagline. It tells you what we're all about at Gateway.
We believe that all students can learn at high levels and that all students learn differently.
We seek to ensure that our ethnically, socio-economically, and geographically diverse student population is prepared for and have the option of college.
Since our founding in 1998, more than 96% of our graduates have gone on to college—double the statewide rate.
Gateway Middle School and Gateway High School are small communities where all students are known well and supported to achieve at high levels.
Our students and families reflect the diversity of San Francisco and the Bay Area. Respect for and celebration of our differences is a core value at Gateway, and achieving equitable student outcomes is an overarching goal.
We engage our students in relevant, rigorous, dynamic curriculum designed to meet the needs of students with a range of learning styles and skill levels.
