Gateway High School's Athletic Director, Stephen Flynn, has been selected by the California State Athletic Directors Association (C.S.A.D.A) as a recipient of the 2016-2017 Norm MacKenzie Award.

Gateway High School's entire student body recently participated in Project Week, an exciting intersession program in which students step out of the day-to-day classroom routine and choose one of over 15 different courses to participate in for the duration of the week, spanning roughly thirty hours of instructional time.

Please join Gateway Public Schools for a Community Meeting on immigrant rights on Tuesday, January 17th from 5:30 - 7:30 PM at the Gateway High School library. La Raza Central will join us to discuss how the Presidential election and the political climate will potentially impact students and their families. In addition, we will focus on how the Gateway community can support immigrant families.

Join fellow parents and friends on Saturday, March 11th for Gateway Celebrates!, our annual party and fundraiser. Gateway Celebrates! will be held at the Gateway High School gym and will include delicious food, drinks, dancing, a raffle, and more. Gateway Celebrates! brings together our entire school community and raises funds to support student programs and faculty professional development. We hope you can join us for this festive and fun 21+ event!

Gateway Public Schools is excited to announce a $40,000 contribution from AT&T to support our On the Road to College Program. Specifically, the contribution has been made to support College Core - a key initiative of our Impact Campaign that seeks to build upon the success of our college counseling program.

Over the summer Gateway Middle School teachers, Elizabeth Colen and Lucy Hilarides, traveled to South Africa as fellows for the Global Teachers Institute (GTI). In partnership with Teach with Africa, the GTI fellowship program identifies high-impact teachers and educational leaders in the US and places them in South African schools.

Aliece Alessandra, a member of Gateway's Class of 2017, has been interning with Salesforce for three months now and, according to Aliece, has been "absolutely LOVING every second of it!" Aliece was placed at an internship with Salesforce thanks to Gateway's ongoing partnership with Genesys Works.
