Project Week

Project Week is a vibrant and unique part of Gateway’s academic program that the entire student body participates in each year. Project Week is an intensive intersession program in which students step out of the regular routine of the school day to examine a single subject over the course of five days, spanning roughly thirty hours of instructional time.

Project Week is a further demonstration of our dedication to teach to "all kinds of minds". Some of our most passionate advocates of Project Week are those students who have to work the hardest to succeed in a more traditional, five-course school day. Project Week has the additional benefit of giving teachers and students the opportunity to work together on common interests outside of the teacher’s core discipline. By changing the rhythm of the school day, students see that learning is an ongoing process that takes place both inside and outside the classroom.
